Post Country stats not working

On my new server account I don't see any FTT2 country stats: IP's show, but IP-to-Country seemingly don't work.

My host installed geoIP module, but that didn't help.

He said it was because Maxmind stopped sharing their free database on December 30, 2019. He suggested to link to the last archived free database instead:

https://web.archive.org/web/20191227182412/https://geolite.maxmind.com/download/geoip/database/GeoLite2-Country.tar.gz

That didn't work, so I uploaded Geolite2-Country.tar.gz to my server and linked to: http://mydomain.com/Geolite2-Country.tar.gz

That worked for 2 months, but yesterday suddenly stopped working.

Strange problem, I don't understand why I never had such problem on my other servers. IP-to-Country is very basic and should work standard on a decent $150/mo managed VPS.

Do you have any idea what's wrong? Thanks.

Sorry, I don't use telegram.

I fixed it, countries show again, I signed up at Maxmind for a free license key, and insert following URL at the bottom of /ftt2/index.php?/admin/country_settings:

https://download.maxmind.com/app/geoip_download?edition_id=GeoLite2-Country&license_key=YOUR_LICENSE_KEY&suffix=tar.gz

The old http://geolite.maxmind.com/download/geoip/database/GeoLite2-Country.tar.gz is dead since December 2019, maybe you should update it.
